Fundraiser Committee/Tanya Thompson: The fundraiser is done! We had a total profit of $15,817.55…which was up just over $700 from LY. We have already received our 2% back from Great American which they rounded up to $800. That money will be used towards Games Galore for the end of year party...which has been booked. Thank you, thank you to Tanya and everything she has done to make this such a huge success for our school!!!

Contact Erica with any questions.
NEW BUSINESS
T-Shirt Sale: we will not be doing business with the company used at the beginning of the school year. We have proposals from other companies willing to work with us. Instead of placing individual orders PTO will place one big order and sell the shirts at different events. Benefits are having on hand, getting to see sizes and no waiting.
After School Clubs: Mrs. Zent has many interested teachers willing to head up some classes. Computer Class, Art Club, Spanish Class and Lego Club. Classes are to start after Christmas. Would incorporate grades 1-5, 1 hour classes would run 2:45 to 3:45, 15-20 students per class, $20 for 8 classes. Looking to PTO to handle the money portion (collect fees and coach payment of $180/session) and then cover costs for additional supplies. Christina Underwood made a motion for PTO to pay for supplies and Maidie Grudem seconded that motion. Motion approved. Mr. Braun, who would be heading up the Lego Club, has already secured $1500 in donations/sponsorships/company match money to get that program running.
Movie Night: Friday, January 30th PTO will sponsor our first ever movie night! Doors are to open at 7 with the Despicable Me 2 starting shortly after (Public performance rights have been purchased by PTO). Wear your PJ’s, bring blankets, pillows and lawn chairs. The movie will be free and concessions will be available (candy, popcorn, water and Gatorade will be sold for $1 each – Michelle Angus and Michelle Lemar will head the concessions committee). It was discussed to maybe have 5th grade teachers and students work concessions as this money will be used to fund their ski trip. A proposal was made to have PTO purchase a popcorn maker for the school with a cap being at $2500. Jolien Schwan made that motion and Kriste Briest seconded it. Motion approved.
5th Grade Ski Trip: February 26th at Detroit Mt…less travel, more ski time. 105 students, 12 chaperons, $18/person plus 2 buses at $646 each the total for the trip will be $3307.01. No outside food/drink is allowed so each student will need to pay $5 for lunch. All forms will be going home before the trip to make sure all necessary information is provided.
